15 February 2013
Stansted Airport’s popular and expanding route network will be boosted this weekend when easyJet launch three new services to Bulgaria, Morocco and Egypt in time for the busy half term holidays.
easyJet services to Morocco’s imperial city Marrakech take off today, the new route to Bulgaria’s dynamic capital Sofia starts tomorrow and flights to Egypt’s diving capital Sharm el Sheikh launch on Sunday.
Commenting on behalf of Stansted Airport, Head of Airline Relations Mark Souter said:
“easyJet services from Stansted are extremely popular and I have no doubt that seats will fill up fast on the new and exciting routes joining their network here this weekend. I wish them every success with these new connections and look forward to supporting easyJet’s development of new services from here.”
Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager commented:
“We’re delighted to be seeing these three new routes take-off from London Stansted. This latest expansion sees us adding two mid-haul routes, to Marrakech in Morroco and Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh from London Stansted for the first time.
“We’re giving our customers from this region an easy and affordable way to explore the delights of two beautiful and culture rich cities in Northern Africa and the capital city of Bulgaria.”
