Hosted by Stansted Airport, this business procurement and networking event is now in its ninth successful year, having generated millions of pounds' worth of sales in the past.
Event organisers, Essex Chamber of Commerce, are preparing for even greater success this year, so businesses are being urged to book their place fast.
"Meet the Buyers 2009 was a resounding success, and we received extremely positive feedback from a wide range of businesses that attended," said Ashley Riley, Stansted’s Head of Communications.
"Several new buyers have already signed up for this year's event, including Bishop’s Stortford-based Hills Toyota, global ventilation pioneers Fläkt Woods and one of the world's leading advertising companies, JC Decaux.
"We’re looking forward to welcoming even more on board as registration gears up."
Denise Rossiter, Operations Director for the Essex Chambers of Commerce, said: "Meet the Buyers creates a platform for businesses in the region to meet and discuss potential new sales opportunities with companies based at, or in close proximity to, Stansted.
"It is one of the largest procurement events in the South East and is a direct route for suppliers to communicate with regional and international buyers. Costs this year have been revised, in recognition of the current constraints being felt by many companies, so attendees will get even more for their money."
Carol Thatcher will be guest speaker at a Gala Dinner to launch proceedings on 1st March, with the main exhibition the following day focusing on pre-arranged appointments for buyers from local, national and international companies. There will also be a business seminar and ample networking opportunities.
