Stansted Airport Cleans Up At Golden Service Awards

09 Nov 2011

Stansted Airport has been named as the UK’s best cleaned transport premises at the service industry’s leading awards ceremony.

Stansted’s cleaning contractor, ISS Facility Services, scooped the best in class top prize at the 2011 Golden Service Awards in London, hosted by TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing winner, Chris Hollins, and attended by over 600 professionals from across the service sector.

The awards, in their 20th year, are acknowledged internationally as a hallmark of quality in the service sector and attracted 133 entries from across the UK and Ireland. The judging panel from The British Association of Cleaning Science undertook a detailed assessment of all nominated premises to test service and quality standards, including maintenance, equipment, training and environmental awareness.

Kate Newcombe, Stansted Airport’s Procurement Manager, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted and very proud that Stansted Airport has been recognised as the best cleaned transport facility in the UK. The award is a real tribute to the hard work and dedication of the ISS Facility Services team here at Stansted Airport.”
