Oozing Andalusian style and charm, holidays to Seville are perfect for exploring the best of this wonderful city. Eat, drink and be merry as you enjoy a city that is full of character and great sights. The Andalusian influence is instantly noticeable in Seville’s buildings and architecture, and the city is a hotbed of artistic verve. Head to the Museo de Bellas Artes situated in a lovely 17th century palace and admire its collection of fine art. Another Andalusian tradition is popular flamenco dancing, which you can have a go at yourself across a range of venues in town. You can also learn more about its history by visiting the Museo del Baile Flamenco, which is an all-encompassing experience that really assaults the senses. If you have a ticket for the museum then you'll get discounted entry to the stunning shows that are put on over Friday and Saturday evenings. Don’t miss Plaza de España when you’re in town, an iconic square with stunning buildings and a lovely water feature. Seville Cathedral is another one not to miss. A humungous Gothic structure built in the 16th century, it’s among the biggest churches in the world and features the famous La Giralda bell tower that stands over 100m tall. Make sure you immerse yourself in Seville’s dining scene while you’re there. It’s not all about oranges, as the city is also the home of tapas and can lay claim to more than 4,000 tapas bars. You might not be able to try them all, but you can certainly make a good start.
