Good transport connections are essential for any successful airport. At BAA we’re making sure all London’s airports – and travellers – have excellent rail links.

We financed and built the £450 million Heathrow Express to London Paddington which runs four trains an hour with a journey time of just 15 minutes. In addition, the new Heathrow Connect service, run in partnership with First Group, operates to and from the airport via Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall and Hayes, giving improved access to over four million passengers and 4,000 locally-based airport workers.

Through the Airport Express partnership, we work with train operators to provide rail services to Gatwick and Stansted. And we’re exploring other opportunities at St Pancras and other places.
