Supporting marginalised young people in Scotland

The BAA Scotland Outreach Programme, in partnership with the National Trust and the Prince’s Trust, supports disadvantaged young people in schools around Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
Led by BAA volunteers, the programme gives young people the chance to get involved in conserving some of Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage. It promotes team working and helps boost confidence and self esteem. The BAA volunteers also gain valuable new skills in their role as mentors.
In 2007 more than 100 young people took part in the programme and BAA staff, including airport managing directors, offered 400 hours of their time.
