Community Matters

Community matters to BAA Stansted.

We have a strong commitment to the communities around our airport and aim to address issues of prime local concern, notably the disturbance caused to local residents by noise, emissions and heavy traffic.

We also aim to create opportunities for local residents to enjoy their local airport - even those who don't use it regularly - to make the most of the economic benefits such as training programmes and creating jobs for local people.

In 2005/06, BAA supported over 55 local community projects through its charitable donations trusts, more information can be found at: www.stanstedairport.com/community
