Cycle parking

Cyclists can use the bike shelter in the Red Zone of the Short Stay Car Park, next to the terminal building. There is no charge for using this service.

Taking bikes on public transport

Trains: Only fully-folded cycles which have been flat-packed may be carried on Stansted Express trains. National Express East Anglia does carry bikes (except for certain peak-time services), and CrossCountry Trains accepts cycles subject to prior reservation. Please consult the relevant operator before you travel.

Coaches: Some operators may carry bikes as long as they are folded in half and carried in a protective case. Please check with the relevant operator before you travel.

Taking bikes on flights

Most airlines will carry bicycles but often require them to be in special boxes or bags, with handlebars sideways and deflated tyres. Please check with your airline to confirm packing requirements and weight restrictions.
