From 9 December 2005 to 24 March 2006 we undertook an extensive consultation on BAA's options for the development of a second runway at Stansted Airport - a project called 'Generation 2' (G2).

This document reports back on the outcome of the consultation and gives details of the decisions taken on the location of the proposed runway, the on-airport development, the position of the extended airport boundary and the associated capital costs. We also explain the background to the decisions we took in light of all comments received.
