Populus Report

The Populus Report (www.populus.co.uk) analyses the responses to a questionnaire that was sent to 43,000 local residents in February 2006, and was available online or at each of our public exhibitions during the consultation period. It also summarises the responses received as a result of the distribution of a newsletter by Uttlesford District Council that declared opposition to the development of a second runway.

The report records and analyses the questionnaire data. It presents numerical analysis of all responses, and who responded in terms of location, gender and age group. The views expressed in the free text section of the questionnaire, and comments submitted on Uttlesford District Council’s 'reply card', are summarised.
