Residential noise insulation scheme

BAA Stansted is implementing a noise insulation programme approved by the Government and enhanced following a three-month consultation with residents and their representatives. The programme offers the following benefits:

• Free secondary glazing or a 50% contribution towards double glazing with free associated ventilation even if the resident benefited from a previous scheme
  
• Free loft insulation where none currently exists
  
• An appointed contractor who will ensure that the work is carried out to a high standard under the supervision of BAA and that the design meets building regulations.

BAA Stansted has written to 1,044 residents whose properties are within the relevant noise contour to invite them to participate in the programme.
