Our reporting

This report explains our approach and performance at Stansted Airport to working responsibly in areas like the environment, community work, people and economic issues.
By dividing the report into different topics, we aim to show how we have worked in each area, explaining:
- The issues involved
- Our approach to dealing with them
- Our performance in that area
- The work we have planned in 2008.
For the first time we are publishing this report to cover a calendar year rather than a financial year (April to March) as before. This is to better align our work with the reporting structure of our parent company ADI Limited. So this report covers the 12 months to December 2007, but in changing the reporting period there may be some overlap between January and March 2007 on those topics we addressed in our previous annual report.
Environmental Resources Management Limited (ERM) has provided external assurance over whether, on the basis of the agreed scope of work, progress against selected airport-level environmental targets has been appropriately reported.
ERM's full assurance statement, including their key observations and recommendations for improvement, can be found in the assurance statement section of this report.
