MAG response to Airports Commission interim report

M.A.G Chief Executive, Charlie Cornish, said:

“Stansted welcomes the Commission’s support for measures to increase capacity at the airport in the short term, including improving rail links between the airport and central London.  We also support the Commission’s finding that Stansted is one of the viable options for a runway beyond 2030.

£80 Million Terminal Transformation Project Taking Shape As New Security Area Welcomes First Passengers

Stansted Airport’s £80million terminal transformation project reached its latest milestone today (Dec 6) when the first section of the new security search area opened to passengers. The first phase of the project has seen the security area relocated away from its ‘landlocked’ central location to a new area twice the size and flooded with natural light on the south side of the terminal building.

Easyjet Sign Long_term Deal To Double Traffic At Stansted

easyJet and the new owners of London Stansted, M.A.G, have today announced a new long-term growth framework deal to enable the airline to more than double its passenger numbers at Stansted from a current 2.8 million passengers to six million passengers a year over the next five years. The conclusion of the growth framework agreement comes just three months after M.A.G completed its acquisition of London Stansted in late February 2013.
easyjet currently operates eight aircraft on up to 27 routes from  London Stansted, including new services to Bulgaria, Morocco and  Egypt. The airline supports M.A.G’s plans to make Stansted the best airport in London.

Ryanair Launch First Uk Connection To Ostrava

Ryanair continues its route expansion at Stansted Airport with the launch of new direct services to Ostrava today, the UK’s first flight connection to the Czech Republic’s third largest city. Services will operate twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) with fares as low as £23 one-way including tax.
