London Stansted Airport opening hours, including shops, restaurants and facilities
In response to the UK Government’s travel ban for all non-essential travel, and the reduction in flight schedules, MAG has taken the decision to reduce its operating hours at London Stansted Airport from March 15. Please check with your airline before coming to the airport.
The terminal building will remain closed to passengers between 17.00 and 05.00 until further notice.
Only our essential retail stores will remain open so you can continue to purchase items. For further information see our special opening hours page.
Government declaration form
From Monday March 8, all passengers travelling internationally must carry a new Government Declaration Form, stating the reason for travel abroad and setting out that their trip is permitted under the stay-at-home restrictions.
The simple form must be downloaded from GOV.UK, signed before travel and carried or downloaded onto a mobile phone.
You must have a valid legal reason to travel (such as for work). Not having a valid reason for travel or entering the airport without a completed form is a criminal offense.
Airlines will be checking the forms have been completed before boarding, either at check in (online or check in desk) or at the departure gate. Passengers who do not have a valid form may be denied access to their booked service.
Check COVID-19 rules at your destination before you travel
You should check the rules that apply at your destination, including the FCDO travel advice, as these may have changed since your last visit.
If the country you are visiting has issued a travel ban for passengers from the UK, please contact your airline, which can provide the latest information and advice regarding your flight.
All international arrivals to the UK must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours before departure, complete a passenger locator form, and self-isolate for 10 days. You must pre-book a testing package, to take on day 2 and day 8 of your quarantine.
For more information, see our testing pages.
