Potential industrial action by Swissport staff at Stansted Airport
Swissport continues to advise that if planned industrial action by members of the GMB and Unite unions goes ahead over the bank holiday weekend, it has contingency plans in place and expects to operate a full flight schedule. Stansted Airport will be open and plans to operate as normal at all times.
Industrial action is planned to take place at the following times:
- From 0530hrs on Saturday 2 June to 0529hrs, Wednesday 6 June
If passengers are in doubt about the status of their flight, they should check their airline’s website for latest information.
Swissport serve the following airlines: Ryanair, Atlasjet, Thomson, Thomas Cook and Belleair. Other airlines (e.g. easyJet, Air Berlin, Germanwings, Pegasus etc.) will be unaffected by any industrial action. As always, we recommend that passengers allow plenty of time for their journey to the airport and arrive at least two hours prior to departure.
