Important Notice

FOR ANYONE TRAVELLING BACK INTO THE UK ON 1ST FEBRUARY

Due to strike action being taken by UK Border Force at all UK Airports, immigration waiting times may be longer than usual.

Please use eGates if you can.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

The Public Commercial Services (PCS) Union announced further strike action affecting UK Border Force. This is impacting the number of Border Force staff we have available to keep our borders safe and secure and queue wait times to a minimum.

We are doing everything we can to get travellers through the border as quickly as possible. We have as many staff as possible on hand to support travellers and this is under constant review. We recommend travellers who can use eGates to do so.

The vast majority of journeys through our airport will be unaffected. However, passengers arriving into the UK on the strike day – particularly those not eligible to use eGates should be prepared to experience longer wait times at immigration.

Don’t worry our teams are aware of the planned strike action by UK Border Force and are on standby to support - If you have a Meet & Greet, your vehicle will be available from the time originally specified on your booking and will remain there until you are ready to collect it.

If you have parked in one of our other car parks, our Car Park Control Team will be able to support you via the intercom at each car park barrier.

Don’t worry our service partner ABM is aware of the planned strike action and is working with UK Border Force to ensure passengers requiring assistance will be prioritised at the border.

As a result of the strike action being taken by UK Border Force staff, we may be unable to honour your Passport Control FastTrack booking and will therefore be refunding your booking. Please use the feedback form.

Don’t worry our teams are aware of the planned strike action by UK Border Force and are on standby to support. Luggage will remain safely in the baggage hall until passengers clear the border.

If your onward travel plans have been affected because of the UK Border Force strike action you should speak to your travel insurance company for further assistance.
