Set in sun-baked Andalucía, southern Spain’s Seville is bursting with majestic architecture and old-school glamour, making it a perfect European escape for a city break. You’ll find endless world-class art galleries and museums here, from Baroque and Renaissance paintings at the Museo de Bellas Artes to contemporary art and graffiti at Delimbo. And take a boat trip along the famous Guadalquivir River for dreamy views of the colourful facades of Betis Street, iconic bridges, and the San Telmo Palace.

Seville is also the place to see and hear some of the best Spanish flamenco – head to La Carbonería, where dancers take to the patio stage, or Los Gallos, one of the city’s main tablaos (places to enjoy a meal and a flamenco show). For shopping, you’ll find everything from antiques and bric-a-brac at the Calle Feria flea market, to high-end boutiques at the new luxury shopping mall, Palazzo Belli.
