Volunteering

Everything you need to know about the volunteering work at London Stansted

Volunteering

We encourage our colleagues to get involved in and volunteer for projects which are close to their hearts, so we have set the challenging target to increase the proportion of our workforce who take part in volunteering to 30%.

A wide range of volunteering opportunities is available to staff from gardening and painting for local charities to delivering talks to children at our onsite education centre, the Aerozone.

For example, recently, a group of five Terminal and Customer services team managers volunteered in Bridge End Garden. Bridge End Garden is a restored Victoria Grade II* listed garden located on the north side of Saffron Walden, and open to the public all year round. The team spent the day trimming bushes and pruning a line of tree wisterias – important tasks in the maintenance of the Garden!
