Volunteering

Everything you need to know about the volunteering work at London Stansted

Harlow food bank

We encourage our colleagues to get involved in and volunteer for projects which are close to their hearts, so we have set the challenging target to increase the proportion of our workforce who take part in volunteering to 30%.

A wide range of volunteering opportunities is available to staff from gardening and painting for local charities to delivering talks to children at our onsite education centre, the Aerozone.

A team of volunteers from our Procurement and Engineering Services team recently spent a day at Great Hallingbury Church helping to clear the churchyard. Freda from Great Hallingbury Church said ‘The group were cheerful, willing and helpful and worked really well as a team. It was very rewarding that they were very interested in the church itself. They worked hard all the time and have made a difference in the churchyard. We can see the difference! Thank you.’

Following a successful collection of Foodbank donations from staff, a group of volunteers from our Customer Services & Security team delivered the donated goods and spent the morning sorting goods at the store house for Harlow Foodbank.
