UK Airport Parking at Glasgow

While there are many drop-off sections at Glasgow Airport, it’s possible to incur heavy charges if you stay longer than 10 minutes. To avoid any excessive charges, it’s a good idea to book a space in the short-stay carpark, which is both reasonably priced and close to the terminal. Alternatively, you can pick-up and drop-off passengers at the long-stay carparks, which are completely free for the first 30 minutes and offer shuttle buses directly to and from the terminal.

Regular shuttle buses ferry passengers between the airport terminal and all of the long-stay carparks, which offer secure spaces that can be used for almost any duration. These carparks are the perfect option for travellers who are looking to store their car at the airport. It may also be worth considering dropping off or picking up friends and family here as you can stay for 30 minutes free of charge.

If you have a Blue Badge, you will be able to claim up to 30 minutes free of charge in any of the carparks around Glasgow Airport. Once you have decided which one suits your needs best, show your Blue Badge to one of the kiosks found in each carpark and you will be allowed to enter. This should give you plenty of time to get in or out of your vehicle or request assistance.

The Airport has two terminals, which are both located within the same building. All parking can serve flights from either terminal but you can also find your airline on the list below if you want to ensure you’re as close as possible to your terminal:

Due to the high demand of the airport, it’s common for some of the carparks to run out of space. It’s also not possible to gain access to the carparks without a booking as they use a sophisticated Automatic Number Plate Recognition system. It’s for these reasons that the airport highly recommends that you pre-book to guarantee a space in the carpark you want.

  • Check height restrictions: It’s worth checking your vehicle can safely fit into the multi-storey carpark before you book a space as it’s only 2.2 metres high.

  • Set off with plenty of time to spare: As there’s often a combination of disruptions and delays close to the airport, make sure to check the state of the traffic before you set off and give yourself plenty of time to reach the airport.

  • 24 Hour Food and Drink: There’s plenty to eat and drink at the airport around the clock with several 24 hour coffee chains and a supermarket attached.
